Where is Anne Frank is a family feature film by acclaimed director Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir).
We follow Kitty, the imaginairy friend of Anne, who is desperate to prove that her bestfriend is still alive. Kitty is a child of today, she’s wild, smart, tough, nervy,unfettered; she flees the Anne Frank House, steals the diary and sets out on the most difficult journey of all: discovering Anne’s fate after she and her family were caught by the Gestapo.
Where is Anne Frank is an international coproduction between Ari Folman, Purple Whale Films (Belgium), Submarine (NL), Walking the Dog (Belgium), Samsa Films (Luxembourg) and Le Pacte (France). The film premiered at Cannes in 2021. For the animation carried out in the Netherlands, Anneke de Graaf supervised a team of 24 animators and artists.
